Join the National Community Land Trust Network of England and Wales (CLTN) in unlocking finance for rural housing provision through CLTs.
CLTN and partners are creating a new company providing finance for pre-development stages of a proven model partnering CLTs with housing associations to develop social housing in rural communities. The design of the company structure and business plan is underway, alongside engagement with potential investors including the UK Government.
To move into implementation and begin overcoming the key barrier of pre-development finance, CLTN is looking for a funding partner’s support first for a small amount of grant funding to help set the company up. Early stage investment (a mixture of grant and concessionary debt) then will be needed to get the company going, and further support to develop the delivery capability in ‘cold spots’ across England and Wales.
With your support, the Rural CLT Catalyst could begin financing a pipeline of circa 400 homes once the company is established, growing this to 1,000 homes in the next few years.
